We have completed many projects for students providing them trainings bootcamps and knowledge on latest skills required in the job industry. We have several initiatives to promote education and skill development.
Ongoing Projects
Aarambh Cancer Care Fundraising- Jan 2024
Goal– To help Aarambh Cancer Palliative Care Center buy supplies
Impact– Reduce sufferings of Cancer patients in their last stages.
Need to raise a little more than INR 1,310,00.
Aarambh Palliative Cancer Care Center (APCCC) (https://svvpnagar.org/aarambh/#) is one of the two projects initiated by SwamiVivekanand Vidya Pratishthan, a registered non-government Organisation. Started in 2017, it aims at providing correct guidance to the cancer patients so that they can take proper treatment. It also provides palliative care and financial assistance to the patients who can’t afford expensive treatment of cancer. Aarambh works for making final days of patients in their last stage Painless,Satisfactory and Happy. Currently, Aarambh has 5 beds for the patients in a temporary ward provided by Snehalaya at their Kedgaon center in Maharashtra, India.
Aarambh is in need of some medical supplies such as:
1. Refrigerator (20000/-)
2. Computer with CPU (45000/-)
3. Colour Printer with scanner (18000/-)
4. TV 65 inches
5. Set Up box for TV.
6. Officer chairs- 2 (24000/-)
7. Office table or (Furnitures)
8, Fowler bed 2- 24000/- ka ek hai
GetUp Mission has decided to help Aarambh in this noble cause by raising the funds and spreading awareness.
Completed Projects
15 Day Reading Challenge - Jan 2024
Goal– To encourage reading, but most importantly weave it into there day to day routine.
Impact– A total of 308 quizzes were completed by 11 students in just 15 days!
Students are encouraged to read, along with being able to experience the fun of reading. Inclining them to read everyday, not just because they have to but because they want too.
We all know reading is beneficial in many ways; increased vocabulary, better memory, healthier eyes, increased focus, comprehension, and reducing stress. However aside from that helps young minds see the diversity of human civilization, and have the skill to see from a different perspective. Which hold great importance in todays evolving world.
We plan on holding more similar challenges to work as a bridge for children, leading them into the exciting world of reading!

We earned INR 12,000 to buy a Auto Clave Machine, however money is still needed for an ambulance.

BIDSANTO Scholarships for Girl Students
Goal– To support bright and deserving girl students from economically weaker sections to continue school education.
Impact– Since 2019, provided cash scholarships of INR 10K each to 9 girls students.
A lot of girl students from economically weaker families in rural villages are not able to complete their school education. There is also a general lack of interest among the families to spend money of girl education.
GetUp wants to promote bright girl students to continue their education and develop interest in other extra-curricular activities. To achieve that, we started BIDSANTO Scholarship program that provides money to deserving students.
GetUp directly reaches out to schools or organizations and make them aware of the program. School administration then shortlist the students based on their academic performance and economic situation.
We always have more girl students than we have scholarships. You can also pledge a contribution of any amount which can help promote girl education.
Build a Library - December 2021
Goal– To support Priyadarshani Public School build a library with 1000 books. Currently, the school has only about 100 books for 122 students.
Impact– The students will be exposed to more books helping develop their minds. Raised INR 45,000 so far and purchased 450 books.
Note: We have purchased 450/1000 books, and so we will start again to campaign to complete this goal as part of another project in the future.
GetUp Mission wanted to implement its reading program in the school. The school management liked the program and they are interested to implement the reading program to encourage young minds and develop reading habits. The school does not have enough books to run the reading program.
Swami Vivekanand Vidya Pratishthan is a registered NGO. We have decided to support them in designing, planning, and executing a fundraising campaign to help them buy 1000 books for the school.
The school provides quality primary and secondary education to underprivileged students fromWeaker sections of the society living in remote areas of rural district of Ahmednagar, Maharashtra, India. Majority of the parents are from the financially weaker sections, earning minimum daily wage.
In phase 1, we will buy the books, furniture, and paint the room with moisture & termite protection coating. In phase 2, once the library is ready, GetUp will help them run our unique reading program to develop reading habits.
The Principles of Art: Color Pencils and Sketching Workshop - February 2023
Goal– To encourage the creative aspect in the community and support artists in our community.
Impact– A total of 8 students joined the workshop.
15 Day Reading Challenge - March 2022

Authors Program - November 2021
Goal– To encourage young Authors to develop interest in researching and writing articles on variety of topics.
Impact– 5 students were taught and gained experience in writing.
Students learn more when they research and learn things on their own. Students will research topics related to medicine, laboratory, journalism, preventive healthcare, and technology.
Students will develop research and writing skills.

Bootcamp - Graphic Designing - October 2021
Goal– Train students on digital graphic design skills.
Impact– Akshita Rana trained 10 students. Students gained practical skills on using Figma design tool to design vector images
The program was designed, developed and executed by Akshita. The highlights of the program was that it was focused on the graphic design. Students learned this important skills that will be used in their professional career in digital marketing, web UI designer etc.
The Bootcamp had quizzes, assignments, and projects.
Bootcamp - Python Programming - July 2021
Goal– Introduction to computer programming language Python.
Impact– Shreya Shastri trained 10 middle and high school students. She encouraged many other students also to learn programming.
The program was designed, developed and executed by Shreya. The highlights of the program that the concepts of programming and logic building were explained in simple terms.
The bootcamp was 8 days hands on exercise where the students developed a computer game. At the end of the course the students were able to read and understand the code.
Bootcamp - Python Programming - March 2021
Goal– Introduction to computer programming language Python.

The bootcamp was 8 days hands on exercise where the students developed a computer game. At the end of the course the students were able to read and understand the code.
Read For Life - December 2020
Goal– To encourage school children to develop reading habits and improve comprehension.
Impact– Enrolled 8 students. Students completed 716 English passages with quizzes.
Akshita Rana reached out to students and their families from her village in remote areas of Himachal Pradesh and educated them about the benefits and importance of reading. She Enrolled them to the online reading platform ReadTheory and helped them develop regular reading habits.
The key highlights of the program was that most of the students come from poor and uneducated family background. They did not have access to library and cannot afford to buy books. GetUp designed the program that encouraged the students to read and earn points that they can use to buy gifts. Akshita sacrificed her pocket money to buy stationary and gifts.
Bootcamp - Website Development - October 2020
Goal– To teach students the end to end process of building a website from scratch and deploying it on the web. Introduction to computer programming languages HTML, CSS, & Graphic Designing.
Impact– Akshita Rana trained 12 middle and high school students.
The program was designed, developed and executed by Akshita. The highlights of the program was that students learned all aspects of building a website from scratch. They also learned color theory, design aspects, and design multiledia content like logos and illustrations.
The bootcamp was 8 days hands on exercise where the students build their own personal website as a final project and deployed it on web. They also learned frameworks like Bootstrap.
